We received Makail's first letter from the Ventura Mission. She arrived on P-day and from the looks of things was to busy to e-mail. She stayed there in the mission home until Tuesday when she would find out who her new companion was. Before she got her assigned companion she was super excited about going out tracting with Hermana Reynolds. She said that they spoke to a man named Ron over a fence, gave him a Book of Mormon and made an appointment for the sisters to go back on Sunday at 4:00. Not bad for thirty minutes of proselyting.
So far she is in love with the weather and the beauty of the places around her. They took them to the top of their mountains "smallish" and looked out over the valley, ocean and strawberry fields. She says that it hardly ever rains and that the weather is perfect. We are excited to get to hear more tomorrow when we get her first e-mail from the mission field.
