Hola Familia,
Hope that your week is going great already. It's our first offical/normal P-day in Oncativo. Basically, I attacked the book shelf, trust me it was a mess, and now I feel better. You wouldn't believe how messy and apartment gets if you are not home on Monday's to deep clean. Needless to say I like it. We ran into an awesome little family this morning in the pharmacy. The mom's name is Monica, and she and her two daughters are learning english. They like to practice with us and they are getting pretty good. It's funny how I can't think of things to say in English and Hermana Tuttle can't remember the proper way to say things. We taught them guys today. I'm not sure that's something that they need to know about but oh well. This week has been absolutely crazy. Last Monday we were in Cordoba for choir practice. Yes, I sang Alto and it was hard but fun. Tuesday we went to Laguna Larga (our other pueblucito) in the afternoon after the siesta. Basically we packed all of our overnight stuff and got on the bus because we had to go directly to Cordoba again that night for zone conference on Wednesday morning. We prayed that Claudia one of our very recent contacts in Laguna Larga would let us leave our stuff at her house so we wouldn't have to haul all of it around. Thankfully, she was there and let us leave all of our bags. She is now one of our favorite people ever. We got to have a really short but powerful lesson with her when we went back to pick up our bags. When we were first leaving them Hermana Tuttle realized that we had just left all of our stuff with practically a complete stranger...but it turned our Awesome! Zone conference was awesome and our mission president, Presisdente Alliard's motto is "You fix it!" and if there is something you think you should do, "Just do it!" Note that those are both in english. He is awesome and so is Hermana Alliard. They fed us lunch and of course we sang as a choir. It went pretty well... all things considered. It was a tad bit of a difficult song but it was good. I had the privilege of offering the closing prayer and the blessing on the food. That was intimidating but I survived. On Thursday, oh it was funny, We had exchanges with our Hermana training leaders, Hermana Hill and Hermana Gonzalez . They got Oncativo at 6:40 am. Hermana Gonzalez was really sick pobrecita. Hermana Hill made us chicken and really delicious mashed potatoes for dia de Gracias (whoops) Hermana Gonzalez was so excited to have her first Thanksgiving with three Gringas...We found out later that night back in Cordoba that Thanksgiving is actually this week. She was...well...we all thought it was funny that the three Gringas didn't know when Thanksgiving was. That just gives you a clue as to how out of touch we are with the world. Especially, the far US world. It was still a delicious lunch and we had company which made it fun. Then Hermana Hill and I went to Laguna Larga again and found tons of people to teach. Tons is a relative term. It downpoured and I was so thankful for my awesome rain coat. Hermana Gonzalez and Hermana Tuttle stayed in Oncativio because Hermana Gonzalez was really sick. Eventually, we all got back to Cordoba because I had to go finish my tramites (paperwork legalization documents). So we spent the whole day in the Justice Department for that all was fine and well until 12 am when I got really sick. It was bad. I was sick all night with the same thing that Hermana Gonzalez had, we think. Either that or something weird that I ate. Or both. Anyway, we spent all day saturday in the pension because I wanted to die. The members brought me anti-nausea medication and I tried not to even think about food. Even just smelling the cooking was bad. Good new though I felt so much better yesterday after going to bed at 9 p.m. While I was not feeling so great I did get the chance to read Our Search for Happiness by M. Russell Ballard. I LOVE IT! If you haven't read it, you should. My favorite part was probably when he was discussing why missionaries leave their families, etc. to serve. "Even though to be perfectly candid most of the feel every bit a uncomfortable standing on your doorstep as you do finding them there." Yes there are definitely days like that. Anyway, Sunday was good and I am excited to start off this week on a better foot that I ended the last one.
Love you all,
Hermana Swan
