Hey family and friends,
This week has been full of activities in our little branch. I sang in front of everyone for the first time ever on Friday night for one of our Family Home evenings. It went really great until one of the kids ran into the middle of the chapel and squished a bug and I totally lost all of the words...so really I sang most of Let it Go in English. Yeah, it was pretty epic. Next time I´ll just sing with the words in hand :)
We have more news with Family Cepeda...Araseli the 9 year old is coming to the activities and she has been having a lot of fun :) At least we think/hope so, she doesn´t talk a whole lot, but she keeps coming. The rest of Family Cepeda has been going to the Evangelical church...yeah, it´s a little complicated. But, we´ve been working on their testimonies of the Book of Mormon...that´s where we´ll come back for the win!
We have some other cool investgators: Maria Rosa is new this last week, but the cool thing is that she already has a huge testimony of the Priesthood! Ten years back she had a blessing from Elders and she got better...even when the doctors couldn´t help her. We´re working on getting her papers to prepare her and her spouse for a wedding, but paperwork is always slow. The cool thing is that her neighbor who is a Jehovah´s witness visited her house and tried to talk her out of meeting with us. When we showed up the next day for our appointment she told us that she had some questions, but she knew that we´d have the answers for her :)
We also found Patricia! She´s the one that we met in the hospital the day after I fell in the street like 7 weeks ago (the Lord´s timing really). We went to their house for our appointment and they fed us Asado! It was so cool! They´re a really cool family, and they know a lot about us Mormons because they have family members that are also members, but they don´t really understand. We´re going to keep working with them...and I´m pretty sure they´ll keep feeding us, which is Capo :) We got Mate cocido the last time we had a lesson...as far as I´m concerned, if they feed us, their an awesome investigator :P (ok not really, but it certainly helps :).
Well, my new companion is a bit of a change, but she´s really cool. I´m learning Portugese and it´s really awesome! Hopefully we will continue to see really great miracles here :) Oh, I almost forgot! On Tuesday we were coming back from Laguna Larga and I sat down by a girl named Lucia. She spoke English better than me!!! She loved that she could talk to me and practice, and she thought it was really cool that I was here in Argentina. We´ll probably get to see her again this week, and it was so cool to have the confirmation that yes, I really am still supposed to be here in Oncativo still.
Well, I hope that you all have a wonderful springy week, and happy celebrations to everyone :) The weather here is still really really humid, but I think it´s cooling off a little. Maybe the leaves will start to fall...no se!
With love,
Hermana Swan
