Temple open house!‏

Hey everyone,

So this last week has been so crazy, and yet so totally epic!

It all started last Monday in the Mission home. All of the Hermanas from everywhere in the mission gathered for a training to work in the Temple. We got to watch training videos, do practices, learn how to run the video tents, and how to simply answer some tough questions. There were area 70´s and General Authorities, and it was so much fun to see ALL of the other Hermanas. We had the opportunity to do a tour through the temple and no one wanted to leave. It is fairly small, but so very beautiful inside and out!

On Thursday night we traveled to Córdoba to sleep over to work in the temple Friday. We didn´t get to bed until late, so the Hermana Gonzalez cut my hair that morning in the apartment! It was pretty cool, and it turned out really well. I needed a little something to spice up my life (not too drastic tho).

Working in the temple was so much fun! We start the videos for the tours and explain the little booties they put over their shoes, that they need to turn off cell phones, etc and then we also work in the tent at the end of the tour where they can ask questions. I like to do the tours because we can visit with the people before we start, and it´s pretty mellow. In the tent at the end, sometimes we get people with really good questions. It´s also a lot of fun though. They feed us lunch, and sometimes bring us other snacks during the day because we´re there from 9 to 9 or 9:30. It´s such a blast! Everyone has something good to say about it, and I actually met the Architect the other day (I don´t know his name), but he isn´t a member of the church. I got talking with his mom, and she told me about it... Normally in the tent we´re not supposed to do a lot of proselyting, but occasionally there are people who ask to know more about Joseph Smith or the Book of Mormon, so we can give them one, or take their name as a reference on the comment cards. It´s pretty great, the Temple is making it´s own contacts :D

On Saturday and Sunday we had to start saying goodbye to everyone (well, I did). I have been transfered to a part of Cordoba called Saldan. I´m here with Hermana Perez from Oncativo, and she´s a mini missionary, which means that she´s here to fill in a gap in the place of an hermana that we don´t have. She is so awesome! she´s from Oncativo, and I helped send her off on the mini mission! :D Now she´s showing me the ropes.

Our pension is pretty small, and we have to shower in a big bucket or the water runs out of the bathroom... I´m already used to it. It´s not as chetta as the apartment in Oncativo, and it´s a little bit colder too. But, the change is good, I feel like a new missionary here, but I can speak Spanish, so that´s a plus!

Well, don´t have too much time, but I know that there are so many blessings here that we are seeing because of the temple. I know that we truly can have eternal families, and that the ordinances that we make in the temple are necessary to have all the blessings of the gospel. I know that the Lord knows exactly what we need and that He looks out for us as missionaries. I hope you all have a wonderful week and know that I love you!

Love,

Hermana Swan

Ps. I am so sorry, but I can´t get this computer to send pictures...I´ll use a different one next week. :´(
