Happy Father´s day!‏

Hey everybody,

So this week was pretty great :) Happy Father´s day, and also, Saturday was Flag day here in Argentina...so Feliz día de la bandera también!

This week we found a really cute little family. The mom, Laura is a less active of a long time, and she has her family with a man named Marcelo. Their not married, but they have three kids who are so cute, and treat us like celebrities. The girls came to church with their aunt, and so we went to find their family. They loved church, and they´d pulled out every single old book from the church that their mom had to show us when we got there. We had a family home evening where we played games and they had a fabulous time! We laughed so hard because they are just so genuine :)
They didn´t make it to church yesterday because of the cold and the mom had problems with her diabetes, but they already can´t wait to see us tomorrow. They even came to our actividad de Locro (it´s a soup with a bunch of things that sometimes I don´t want to know what´s in it...), but it was really great to have them there.

Maria Ester and José also came to that same activity on Saturday, and we actually ran into them on the way to the church. They were walking holding hands, and at a turtle´s pace because they´re cute little old people, but it was so fun to see them. They had a good time at the activity, and we got to meet the daughter of Ester. They went to an asado yesterday instead of church...so basically it was a pretty quite day for Father´s day.

After we ate Locro, we had a little activity and some of the youth danced. Then everybody (except the missionaries) danced. Then they had a spur-of-the-moment Talent Show. Laura´s kids, Augustina (10), Sofia (6), and Santino (5) sang, told jokes, and played the guitar. It was pretty hilarious because they´re so little, but Augustina has a really great voice!

Well, the cold has started to settle in. I´m so excited that the sun will start to head back...it gets really dark really fast here-about 6:30 at night. Everyone here acts like it suddenly hit arctic temperatures, but I haven´t even had to break out my real winter stuff...so if it doesn´t get colder here all those people that told me it actually gets cold here in Córdoba don´t know what cold is! Haha (we´ll revisit this topic about halfway through July which is when they say it gets the coldest). but there are still leaves on trees, and during the day in the sun it´s usually good.

Well, I love you all tons and hope you have a great week! Don´t forget that the gospel really does bless the family, and I´ll send another email next week :)

Chau,
