This week has been really good :) These last few days have been cloudy with a chance of rain...but the humidity has been so high! We washed some about three days ago, and they are finally dry, but only because we put them in front of our space heater. AHHHH! It´s kinda nice though-it smells like the ocean, we don´t have to use chapstick or lotion because we´re kinda like little frogs with a layer of slime growing on our skin...but you know, such is life.
Anyways, This last week on Wednesday, we had exchanges with the Hermana leaders (sister training leaders)! Hermana Salmeron (yes, she was my companion once in Oncativo) was my companion for the day! :D Mi hijita spent some time with the Hermana Carrasco and I hope she had fun :) I had a blast, and it was just like old times! It was fun to be the younger companion again-something I never thought I´d miss. We found a lot of new investigators, and she told me that she´s afraid to return to the real world (she´s going home in 2 weeks exactly with Hermana Tuttle). I´ll be sad to see them go!
Yesterday we had the New beginnings for young womens. It was really successful! The young women sang and then of course there was food afterwards, but we had a less active dad come, and a non-member cousin of one of the members. We almost had more people come than showed up for church! So everyone was very pleased with how it went :) Last night, we had a really awesome lesson with a less active family. We watched the origen (mormon message) and talked about their testimonies. It ended up that they made an appointment for us to come and visit with them and their neighbor (the ideal reference! :) So at least we´re gaining the confidence of the members and they want to help us!
Well, my team won today in basketball with the elders and the bishop and some other members :) It was a little bit of jungle-ball, but hey...nobody died.
The work is good, and I´m loving it. Doctrine and Covenants 58:3-5 is my scripture of the week :) Hope you all know that you´re loved and it´s all part of the plan ;)
Have a fantastic 4 of July, and I´ll talk to you later!
Hermana Swan
