Well, it´s official: I´ve been called to train a newbie... I don´t know who she is yet, but there are only four possibilities. She could be from: Spain, Mexico, Paraguay, or Buenos Aires. Well, feel free to place your guesses before the next week which one I´ll get! :D
Anyways, this last week was really good :) I got to email on my birthday, which was a cool accident. It made me realize that I miss you guys a little bit, but only on special occasions ;) It was weird to just have the two of us for my birthday...we ended up making Ñoquis (nyolkies) which are a potato-based noodle for lunch, and then my companion made me a cake to take to our Ward council. It was really delicious.
On Wednesday we had our Reunion de districto, and the whole zone signed a card for my birthday and for Hermana Perez because she was ending her mini mission. They sang to me and everything :) It was really nice. I then remembered that we have a ton of family here in the mission, the only difference is that they´re all about the same age.
On Friday we had the opportunity to eat dinner at the house of Silvia, our Remisera (taxidriver). She´s really sweet, and we had asado at her house the last time. Anyway, her husband made us really good sandwiches and they put my candle in a Grido ice cream and sang to me.
Hermana Perez left this morning for her house, and it was really sad to see her leave. We´ve become really good friends, and I´m going to miss her little attitude and accent. Until we have our new companions that we will be training, Hermana Ascuña from Peru is my companion. On Wednesday we´ll get the new recruits, but until then, we´re going to work together here in Saldan. We´re both so nervous! No pressure, but if you mess up, your hija might want to go home...Oh my.
So today for Pday we went to Cento of Córdoba. We shopped until we dropped!!! It was crazy awesome! I found a mate (the thing they drink out of) and una bombilla (the straw thing), and they´re pretty capo. We are so tired of shopping and large groups of people, we´re excited to work so we can get a little rest haha!
Well, I hope that you all have a fantastic week, and know that all´s well on this side of the world :) Love to all,
Hermana Swan
Ether 12:3-4 Just a scripture I like this week :)
