Hey everyone! Happy 4th of July!‏

Also, shoutout to Grandpa Doolittle who turns 70 today! Happy birthday! :)

Well, it´s been a good week. We´ve started to enjoy the cold (only a little bit), and some funny things happened this week. We got into a remis (taxi) and there was a funny old man that told us about his problems...and eventually we ended up teaching him the law of chastity all before we got back to our house. He was a little bit creepy, but has a lot of potential to change, so we gave his information to the Elders (just so you know we didn´t have him drop us off at our house), but it was pretty interesting. Later we had a woman contact us in the street. She told us to "remember the Virgin Maria"! It was so funny because she has talked to missionaries before and wanted us to keep Maria in mind...afterwards we both looked at each other and were like, "what?". We got to play with a parrot at the house of a member because they just got it. It climbes on your shoulder and it was pretty fun :)

We´re gaining a little bit of weight here in Saldan...we´re almost to the "it´s time for a diet!" stage (ahhhhh!). If you thought that Argentine summer food was unhealthy...welcome to winter food! They eat a ton of cheese and noodles and heavy dense things in winter, and don´t forget the pan! (bread).

The people don´t go out so much in the cold weather. Also, they have to vote, and the voting takes place on Sunday. So a lot of people used voting as an excuse to not go to church. It´s crazy down here! Everyone and their dog watched the America Cup final between Argentina and Chile...we lost in the last little bit (is what I´m told). I´m sure glad that they don´t have the partido/game as an excuse anymore as well! I´m counting my lucky stars that I didn´t have to try and work during the Mundial, that would have been more of a pain. Argentines love their soccer!

Ok, well, that´s my weird week in a nutshell. On Thursday we had a really weird day...only strange people wanted to talk to us...I´m convinced it was the full moon, and Hermana Aguilera believed me jaja.

Thanks for the letters and I wish you all a wonderful week of summer and hope that you know the Lord answers our prayers. Don´t forget to be grateful that you have air conditioning inside of the church, and don´t forget to go :)

Love you all,
