So this last week I completed a whole year in the mission. The same day, Hermana Regalado my companion, completed 18 meses. WHOOHOOO! It was a pretty normal day, but that´s because we were working and we sorta forgot until it was almost over. It´s funny how that happens :)
We had our last exchange on Tuesday with the Hermanas in Parque Lisceo. I went with Hermana Solar from Chile and we had a good time. It rained a ton, but a member accompanied us to the house of a less active member. I had the pleasure of taking away an almost full box of cigarettes from her house. She told us that she wasn´t addicted, she just started up again just because. So I asked her if I could take her cigarettes, and she said, "yeah, I guess so". I was so excited! We got to destroy them, but I kept the box for a good laugh later...victory of the Word of Wisdom! We visited other people, but we had a good time, even though we ended up getting soaked.
We had a Family Home Evening with the family of Leandro, a recent convert and it was fun! His mom, who wants to get baptized, but she struggles with going to church, made us empanadas that were to die for!!! I got the recipe, but seriously, they were delicious. We talked about faith being an action, and we made some fake snow :) It was very popular. We made the snow again for our lunch message with Familia Lopez. Mom, it´s the stuff you sent me for christmas, and it´s super popular here!
Saturday, we planned some things with Yamila and Sebastian for the wedding and the Baptism. They´re getting married on Friday, and we´ll have the baptism Saturday, the confirmation Domingo, and then Hermana Regalado leaves Monday. She arrives in Peru 6 in the morning on Wednesday. I´m so sad that she´s leaving, but it´s been a super transfer! Lots of miracles.
